The USO Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport is open daily and serves as a second home for our troops and their families as they travel the world to defend our country. Support services include things as simple as a cup of coffee, a quiet place to relax, finding accommodation in an emergency, retrieving an important misplaced travel booking, or making a final phone call before booking.

Volunteers at the Washington Dulles International USO Airport Lounge had the distinct honor of rolling out the red, white and blue carpet for more than 20 World War II veterans as they marched into Normandy, France for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Beginning Friday, May 31, USO-Metro volunteers will greet World War II veterans with American flags, red poppies, patriotic choirs and applause from nearby commuters.
"The fact that World War II veterans were so happy and surprised to see our USO volunteers shows how much this small act of gratitude means to them," said Andrea Tassan, USO Dulles Airport Lounge Center Supervisor. "It is an honor to have the opportunity to personally thank our volunteers, who truly represent the support of the American people, for their heroic work for our country."
On Monday, June 3, three World War II veterans, Clifford Stump, 94, Gordon D. Monson, 91, and Harry Miller, 91, shared their war stories with some Northern Virginia high school students over lunch. The luncheon was hosted by United Airlines and hosted by the 82nd Airlift Wing. After welcoming veterans at the door, USO-Metro provides volunteers to help prepare and serve lunch.
